MacBook Logic Board Repair
No power, no chime, no charge light — before you accept a “replacement board” quote, know this: most board faults are single failed components that can be repaired for a fraction of the cost. That’s our specialty.
Does this sound like your Mac?
- Completely dead — no response to the charger
- Battery not recognized, or not charging
- Random shutdowns or recurring kernel panics
- Fans spin but there’s no image on the screen
- USB-C ports dead, intermittent, or charging only sometimes
- GPU glitches, artifacts, or scrambled graphics
- Stuck on the Apple logo or progress bar
- Past liquid exposure, even if it worked afterward
What we do
Where most shops swap boards, we repair them. Using board schematics, a stereo microscope, and micro-soldering stations, we trace faults to the individual component — a failed charging chip, a corroded trace, a shorted power rail — and fix exactly that.
Board repair has a bonus no replacement can offer: your data stays exactly where it was. No blank board, no reinstall, no migration.
Repair vs. replacementReplacement boards often cost more than the Mac is worth — and arrive empty. Repairing your board keeps your data, your macOS, your everything, usually for a third of the price.

Logic board repair levels
The level is confirmed after the free diagnostic — you approve the quote before any work begins.
| Level | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Level 1 — single component (charging circuit, sensor) | $149 – $199 |
| Level 2 — power circuit repair | $249 – $349 |
| Level 3 — complex multi-component repair | $399 – $579 |
Parts and labor included. If the board is beyond economical repair, we’ll tell you straight and quote alternatives — data recovery, or a replacement board where that genuinely makes sense.
Logic board repair FAQ
Is board repair worth it?
Usually, if the Mac is under about five years old or holds valuable data — repair typically costs a third of a replacement board. We’ll give you an honest repair-or-replace verdict with the quote.
Is my data safe during board repair?
Yes. Board repair happens with storage untouched — in most cases your Mac comes back exactly as you left it, files and all.
Why not just replace the whole board?
You can — but replacement boards for many models cost more than the machine’s value, and you’d still face data migration. Repairing the original board is usually faster, cheaper, and keeps everything intact.
